Our Mission Statement – The goal of Booth & Company, Inc. is to provide an environment conducive to the development of each person’s social, physical and emotional capabilities to his/her maximum level, in an environment that ensures preservation of personal value and dignity. Those behaviors which enhance the person’s ability to cope with his/her life functioning, as well as his/her continued growth and development, should be reinforced and strengthened through methods and techniques prescribed in each person’s Individualized Support Plan (ISP).

“Disability is a natural part of the human experience, and in no way diminishes the rights of individuals to live independently, enjoy self-determination, make choices, contribute to society, pursue meaningful careers, and enjoy full inclusion and integration in the economic, political, social, cultural and educational mainstream of American society.”

-Federal Legislation and the Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1992

Behavior Management Goals – Understanding that behavior is a way of communicating, and that each person’s behavior reflects his or her own life experiences, we carefully consider the function of a person’s problematic behavior before trying to address it. Once we understand the purpose of the behavior, we endeavor to assist the person to replace problematic ways of communicating with functional and adaptive ways of behaving.
